About Us

Love Link Ministries, Inc. began providing social services to the poor and the homeless in 1991 and provides services to all people without regard to religion or race. Many of the clients struggle with alcohol and drug dependencies. Our current programs include a food pantry, thrift store, and sober living program. Our future plans include adding an outpatient drug and alcohol program, on-site job training, medical-dental program, children’s tutoring, after-school programs, etc. The prospects are limitless. We are in the process of moving from about 8,000 square feet total to almost 80,000 square feet. The larger building is located one mile north of our current location, in the former NuWay Laundry and Dry Cleaners building on NW 6th and N. Western. God is opening doors!

Staff

Marilyn Stark - Executive Director

Marilyn started working with Love Link Ministries, Inc. in July 1997 as a volunteer. After volunteering in the office for two years, she was added as part-time staff. Marilyn continued with Love Link until June of 2006 at which point she felt God leading her in other directions. Little did she know that He would lead her back as a board member in June of 2008. With the retirement of the Executive Director, the search began for a new Executive Director. In working with the search committee, it became clear that Marilyn might just be the person they were looking for. In November 2008, she assumed the responsibilities of Executive Director. Marilyn has worked in youth ministry, choir, missions, and various other positions in the church. She has a Bachelors degree in Chemistry/Biology (Southern Nazarene University, 1980) as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (University of Oklahoma, 1984). Marilyn loves the Lord and working with people. She is excited to know that this position is much bigger than she is and that God is in control. With Him All Things Are Possible!

Services

Sober Living Program

We operate three sober living houses for men who want to leave their lives of alcohol and drug dependency behind them. It is a voluntary, faith-based program with group accountability at the core. Our houses are home to ten to twelve men at any given time. As the men strive together to live sober lives, we endeavor to give them vocational opportunities as well as responsibilities around the ministry to keep them busy, and aid their recovery and re-entry into sober living. The men attend Celebrate Recovery, small groups, bible study, and church services. They also volunteer in the food pantry and thrift store.
